Fawaz considered several factors when choosing the new ERP solution: the ease of use, available functionalities and how they matched specific business requirements, the solution’s ability to manage a high volume of transactions, and the capabilities of the implementation partner. Fawaz hired an external consulting company to evaluate different offers and help the organization select the best solution on the market. Microsoft Dynamics 365 addressed all of Fawaz’s requirements.
“Using Microsoft technology, the organization could solve the most pressing problems that emerged with its international expansion. The company removed its disparate systems and obsolete technology in favor of a cloud solution that unified all operations across countries into one single platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.”
The solution was deployed in the span of just a few months, making Fawaz one of the earliest adopters of the upgraded Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The organization implemented Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations modules for procurement, inventory, sales, finance, and projects.
“We use the solution to better manage our inventory and thus optimize the project costs. That, in turn, helped us to achieve better productivity. Microsoft Dynamics 365 also helped us to consolidate financial data in one place for all countries across GCC,” says Sherif Kamel, Chief Financial Officer at Fawaz. The solution is currently used by more than 190 employees located across Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand the program to other countries throughout the Middle East and Africa.
Using Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Fawaz has seen these benefits:
- Full visibility across operations in different countries
- Increased employee productivity due to automation features that support check processing, post-dated check management, purchase order processing, sales order processing, and open purchase order status
- Higher-quality monitoring and control
- Increased integration across business processes, including critical approval workflows
- Group-wide financial visibility of profit and loss, inventory, project costs, and sales
- Greater motivation among employees thanks to a simplified and consolidated user interface that enhances user experience
- Dramatic improvement in system performance
Kamel adds, “One of the notable benefits of the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 was the reduction of manpower costs by nearly 33 percent across the departments.”
